Introduction

For the outdoor exhibition, the protective shelters for Celadon kilns that have been conducted with excavation investigations are available for visitors. The Kiln Site No. 10 in Yongun-ri, Daegu-myeon, which was supposed to be submerged to create Dangjeon Reservoir between 1980 and 1982, has been excavated for investigations, with the total of four Celadon kilns confirmed. Among these kilns, the Kiln No. 10-1 was relocated to Gwangju National Museum and then restored, while the Kiln No. 10-4 is currently relocated to the compound of Gangjin Celadon Museum for exhibition. The Kiln No. 41 in Sadang-ri, which was excavated by National Museum of Korea between 1973 and 1977, is currently preserved in its original excavation site and is on display. Although the ceiling and chimney of the kiln were destroyed, layers of wall surfaces still remain, which is considered as a kiln, showing the usage of Celadon kilns in the Goryeo Dynasty.
